What’s Holding You Back?

After reading several articles yesterday about pro bono service as the top volunteer need for non-profit organizations I began to think about the needs of pro bono organizations in the legal profession and what obstacles stand in the way of growth. As reported in the Wall Street Journal’s Market Watch, a recent survey discovered that over 66 percent of U.S. non-profits identify pro bono business aid as their top volunteer need.  Despite this need, The Chronicle of Philanthropy  further reporeted that nearly half of those surveyed did not know how to attract the volunteers with business skills that they need. I wondered, “what do legal pro bono providers view as the greatest obstacles to improving or expanding their ability to improve access to justice?” Here at the ABA Center for Pro Bono we aim to assist in strengthening pro bono nationally but what are your thoughts on what keeps you from reaching goals you set for your organization? Please take a moment to participate in this poll and share your thoughts:
